Badge ID

Tim,

This is the old sleeve badge worn on the tunic, near the top of the sleeve, by uniformed security staff at the Imperial War Museum. The design also featured on the gold anodised buttons, large and small, also worn on the tunic. The tunic, peaked cap and badges ceased to be worn about 15-20 years ago, in favour of a more corporate and less intimidating, non-military style of 'outfit' incorporating different coloured polo shirts and jumpers. I think the same badge was worn on both sleeves, the lion looking forward on one and rearwards on the other.

George,
Brilliant many thanks. It came in a job lot with some of the other cloth items I have posted as queries.
