216 Toronto Bantams

Hi,
As I have stated in the past Canadian Badges is not my field of experience so I am relying on you expert's.I only hope that my question does not open a can of worms that a similar one as done on this site about a British Badge.
My question is is this badge a genuine one ?
The maker is Ellis Bros. and beneath Toronto.

Bantam :)

I'm not a CEF badge expert by any means...however, I will stick my neck out and say it looks good from where I am sitting. I would be comfortable with it.

Cheers,

Adam

Agree with Adam

I had a look, and it looks okay. The lugs are the stamped flat pattern that are seldom if ever used on repros.

I am certainly no CEF badge expert, nor do I consider myself a badge expert in any feild... However, I must say I do like the overall appearance of this badge. The flat lugs as well IMO are a good sign. From my side of the computer monitor, the stamping looks very crisp and clean. I'm not seeing anything in the overall presentation of this badge that sets off any alarms.

Thanks to the members that replied to my request for assistance.
My interest in the badge was that my Great Uncle 28567 George Morgan volunteered under age to serve in the 18th Welsh Regiment(2nd Rhondda) a Bantam Regiment. He suffererd being badly wounded in 1916 and whilst recovering at a V.A.D Hospital he died of the influenza pandemic on 10/11/1918 the day before the armistice was declared.

Just to round out the circle this badge is 100% with the flat tape lugs there is no doubt an early 1916 or earlier strike.
