Quite a large badge but never seen any resting on (rope) I don't know what to call it?

Any ideas as to which Rgt, anything to do with the 6th Kings perhaps?

Many thanks Billy

Hi Billy,

Just as a point of reference, the piece of rope you’re describing is known as a “Torse”, which in heraldry represents a twisted roll of fabric found on the crown of the helmet or under the crest.

Regards,

Zob.

Billy,

Don’t think it is 6th Kings, they were keen on having a ( Lancastrian) rose on their badges.

Thanks Zob, as soon as I saw the word I knew it, but getting home from work at 2 a.m. am lucky to gave gotten home!

At what looks like 5 inches wide it would be a big Pouch!!

Hi Peter I only mentioned the Kings mainly as the Prancing Pony rested on the Torse, will go through K & K now, will post if I find anything, billy

Billy,

100% not a pouch badge, of the UK at least.
What fixings are on the rear.
