Tyneside Scottish Pin Back

Hi all. I am seeking opinions on this Tyneside Scottish badge. To me the back looks cast but I have no experience of these badges and do not know what to look for with regards to authenticity. I generally like the feel of it. Think the pin has been replaced though. Many thanks in advance.

My apologies, this appears to have gone into the wrong section of the forum. Perhaps a moderator could move it? Many thanks.

Looks fine and the wire of the pin may be a replacement but thats pretty unimportant to me.

Thanks for the comments chaps. I'm pleased that reactions are positive. I believe this would be the 2nd of the four patterns used during the First World War?
