British Pacific Fleet (BPF) shoulder titles?

I have just acquired this group of patches. They caught my interest because of the "B.P.F." titles, as my grandfather served as a PO Air Fitter with the British Pacific Fleet.

I already have a pair of "B.P.F." titles, but of curved design and slightly different manufacture (photos also attached).

I would be most grateful if anyone can shed some light on the use of these titles, and the variations in design/manufacture.

Like the SEAC titles adopted by soldiers who had served in South East Asia Command these are unofficial items bought locally to show those at home that the wearers had served with the British Pacific Fleet. They are unofficial and I have yet to see a photo of anyone wearing them.

I attach images of some others.

Thank you Jon for the information and for sharing the photos of further examples!
