The Buffs. RAC.
 

Hi all,
I'd like to get some opinions on the cap badge below. We know the Buffs wore a 'Silvered' badge on becoming an RAC regiment, and is this offering one of them ?
Described as white metal, it appears die cast to me and added to that a very rare maker mark has set a few alarm bells s ringing.
It appeared on eBay overnight.

Looks a duffer to me. Fake Grove mark IMO. Check out the MM section the lettering should be much finer and there’s a full stop after MGF on all the good ones I’ve seen.

It's fake. The original ones were plated by the regiment so should be die struck brass underneath and not maker marked.
