7th Gurkhas

Another recent acquisition and another one that I'd never seen before. It's not illustrated in the Gurkha Museums book on the insignia of the 7th - but I think it dates to the 1920's because of the elongated blades of the kukris. It's silver and measures some 35mm x 25mm with a stout pin fastening. I think it was worn by British officers on the Wolseley helmet.

Hi.
I saw this too and wondered what it was, as I have never seen anything like it before. A great acquisition and my hard luck! Andy |
Must admit I couldn't believe I got it for what I did - I thought it would go for 4 times that amount !

lol,
Had I trusted my instincts, it probably would have.:D |
There's been more dodgy Gurkha badges on e bay than usual - which is saying a lot! But there are still some gems out there if you look hard enough and you know what to look for.
