Dating different styles of Spanish Crown

5 Attachment(s)
I recently purchased some Spanish Air Force wings and I notice that there're 5 different versions of the Crown on them. Just like the British Crown, they must represent different eras. The question is, which ones.

I am attaching the five different styles for comparison. Can anyone on this?

Thanks

I think these differences are down to the manufacturer. Since General Franco was in power there have only been 2 Kings, the present one and his father, so it is unlikely that the design change has anything to do with dynasties. In the Franco period a coronet was used and not a crown. In the pre-civil war versions the crown was a completely different design.

I agree with Dave. There is no big difference between them really.

Thanks for the comments.

A collector in Spain tells me the same thing, that they are for Juan Carlo I and Filipe IV, but can't tell me which is which as they are apparently for both.

Many thanks

You are both right...the crowns that David show are all post 1975 ...when Juan Carlos I became king.
But David is right about the simil with british crowns...you had the king crown until 1953 and from that year the queen crown...We had in Spain the Imperial crown until 1975 and the Royal crown from that year.

This is the Imperial crown we had until 1975...in the Franco's era

This is the Royal crown we actually have

About the pictures you show...they are only different styles of the Royal crown...

This crown is an early type...as you can see in this Marine badge

This is a modern style...as you can see in this army badge..
