Royal Irish Rifles helmet/cross belt badge

Your comments on this one please. I'm having a Senior moment here. Is that a QC or a KC? Many thanks

It is a KC, but I do not think these are genuine. Besides, it should be in silver I believe.

It’s a King’s Crown but very much made in the QC era post 1970s to date.

The helmet plates were blackened brass. I've been told the originals measure 105mm x 75mm (Talavera to Orthes), the copies being smaller. The cross belt badges were in silver, and have screw post fittings.

Thank you all.:)

Here's the proper article (I think) albeit 15 times what I paid for mine.

The real silver ones really do look a million dollars compared to the fake wm and brass ones shown. |

So is the one on the left at £270 "iffy"?

It is quite simply an out and out fake. |
An old thread with my KC cross belt badge.
