It is a KC, but I do not think these are genuine. Besides, it should be in silver I believe.

It’s a King’s Crown but very much made in the QC era post 1970s to date.

The helmet plates were blackened brass. I've been told the originals measure 105mm x 75mm (Talavera to Orthes), the copies being smaller. The cross belt badges were in silver, and have screw post fittings.

Afraid not. As Danny mentions the genuine RIR CBP I’ve seen have screw posts.

The real silver ones really do look a million dollars compared to the fake wm and brass ones shown.

So is the one on the left at £270 "iffy"?

I personally wouldn’t elevate it to ‘iffy’ status.

It is quite simply an out and out fake.
