The Boys’ Life Brigade was founded in 1899 by John Brown Paton in Nottingham. In October 1926 it merged with The Boys' Brigade.

"The Boys' Life Brigade (1899) was one of many similar movements formed following the formation of The Boys' Brigade. The BLB was formed by the National Sunday School Union (Pacifist) and was strongest amongst non-conformist churches. It substituted first aid drill for the military and weapons drill used in The Boys' Brigade."

thanks mike , any idea of what age it might be, was it a cap badge?

Age wise I guess it would have to be circa 1899 to 1926 as that was when the group was active.

Only other Boys Life Brigade badge I could find is a sergeants shoulder belt boss badge but although it has similar fittings it is a completely different design.
