Ruskin Badge Frames
3 Attachment(s)
These old 'Ruskin' photo frames with integral regimental badges are nice items. An insert bearing the company's logo and a little ad stating that 'Crest of almost and English or Colonial Regiment' [sic] can be supplied, doubles up as the photo mount. Nice collectible objects in their own right.
Do other members have examples of these? With thanks, JT Attachment 185352 Attachment 185353 Attachment 185354 |

There's an RA example on eBay at the moment (I have no connection with the seller, by the way). Cheers, JT |

The Royal Artillery badge is not an integral part of the frame, and the slider seems to be too long for the frame to stand up. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-M...8AAOSw-jhUCMio Ruskin could have made frames with a slot for the buyer to add their own badge? |

We're these badges produced by the company. Or original cap badges attached to the frames ?

That said, it is possible that the badges were copied from originals and then affixed to the frames. There is no indication on the reverse as to how the badge was attached, and no apparent means of benignly removing it for examination. JT |

Which slider? The only thing I can see is the fabric tape (snapped) that would have been used to hold the stand in the correct position.
