Can somebody please confirm the cap badge worn by the RPC circa 1954-59

As far as I understand, it should be the anodised alluminium example, for OR's anyway. Grove made a Kings Crown example so it began at least prior to 1953. After that the crown obviously changed and was worn throughout the period of you query.

I would envisage that in that period there were K/C brass, possibly plastic, as well as q/c badges in use. The k/c a/a is very rare,
