Today’s pickup
 

Bits and bobs l picked up today. This includes nice hallmarked Warwicks silver badge as well as hallmarked 14 punjab and Manchester sweetheart/collar. Can anybody please identify the St.George and V cloth badge. Also what are the three feather collars and the IY Dorset shoulder title looks like it started life as TI Dorset but modification was done many years ago.Finally the eagle badge back attachment appears to be done professionally, was this a known type of securing the badge for possible beret wear?

The Manchester Regiment Brunswick Star is an Officers collar badge worn in Edwardian times and upto WW1, died out after that.

When facing left also worn in the FSC.

I don't know what the St George and "V" is but I like it because of what I take to be a RNF connection. It does ring distant bells from somewhere (did I see it worn on track suits?). Just can't place it.

Nice 1st/1st Dorset Yeo ST :) The converted Officers 1RD Collar is a great find as well :)

Could you please tell me when the 1st RG badge would have been worn? I am very confused with all the different badges this regiment wore!

The collar l have has GeoV crown whereas yours is imperial crown which is Edwardian period. Regards Pete.

If you go to my "1st Royal Dragoons insignia & uniform." album .... you will see this type of small eagle in the cap ... in the beret and on the collar.

You might also have a look at my "1st Royal Dragoons "Slidered" Cap Badges" Album and also "1st Royal Dragoons "Officers" Cap & Collar Badges" album.

Looking at it now.... its an ORs Collar thats been converted.... and it does have the look of a Beret badge in the bend of the slider. So I would guess WW2 North Africa. (In the Grey Beret 1941-44)

BUT..... it could easily be Post 2nd Boer War South Africa.... worn in the Cap. (as seen below)

Thats the type of QVC crown worn c. 1898 to 1902.
