I believe so, it matches the dims in Chris's book, it seems a smallish badge, though not tiny

Jerry ,the cap badge size has a silver scroll and are all unmarked .
No other maker known for your example besides Buttons

Mike are you saying there is a larger anodised version of this badge with a silver coloured scroll? I can't recall off the top of my head ever seeing one. As you mention an unmarked slider could it be a Gaylor copy with his usual mirror backs and unmarked sliders?
I hope I don't have to find one to collect..........
Cheers Mike

Mike, doing my research i noted a thread that mentioned the larger badge which is not in Chris's book but no details.

Because the large badge is a Gaylor fake and never worn by the Battery itself.

Possibly as listed as the last item in left hand column of John Gaylor's 1990 list. Priced at £3.00

There are some entries on their such as the a/a F&F yeomanry and the Queen's Crown Suffolks that scream fake to me. Rather disappointing for his reputation.

According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS) in 1990 the average cost of a pint of draught lager was £1.27 - today it is £4.20
