Dan,
Here are some varieties to complement yours. I have always been amazed by the number of enamel combinations for the 224th Bn. Gary |
Hi Gary,
Very nice, are the Winnipeg forestry company maker marked? Not seen one of those, lovely. Great to see, Thankyou. All the best dan |
Dan,
No mark on the gilted one but the silver on is LM in a rectangle and sterling. I can only find a reference to the LM in a rectangle being Louis Minoggio but nothing about him or where in England nor can I find a LM Canadian mark. Gary |
Some outstanding examples there, thanks

I think LM is really TLM, quite often the T is missing in the stamping. Birmingham maker Thomas Lynden Mott All the best Dan |
Has anyone done some research into how many sweethearts may have been made? It would differ from unit to unit, but there seems to be a lot of different types even to one particular unit. Just look at the 238th examples.

Thought I would add this recent buy. Full sized badge. Bright gilt.
Lovely. |
Very nice badge. Does it have lugs? any Maker Mark. I would guess that it is 1.60 wide. Could I get a better photo of it (better focus) for the CEF book - please
Larry |
Has a pin, may have had lugs before being gilt up. OB Allan on reverse. Yes will get a better focused pic.
