RAF BADGE/SWEETHEART
2 Attachment(s)
I took a fancy to a RAF badge on eBay and brought it. It is made of cast silver or WM with a brooch type fastening at the back. The pin is missing.
At the top there is a RAF eagle with Kings crown sitting on a pair of crossed rifles. Below this are the letters S A W with the A being slightly bigger, below the A is a small C (see attached photo's) Can any of our RFC/RAF guru's tell me any thing about this badge especially the letters please? |
The crown, eagle, crossed rifles is the badge of the RAF Small Arms Association.

Thanks Leigh, that covers the S A W but idea's about the letter C ??

Hi Jerry, could it be for the Station, as RAF Coltishall, or RAF Cosford, or COOKS!
|
Or Crabfats?
|
Maybe he meant it was 'saucy' but couldn't spell it....
