Not sure if this badge is Devons Yeo, a broken Pay Corps, a Staff Corps badge, or something else. Are Devons Yeo badges identifiable by their design detail?
Thanks.

Yes the R1DY other ranks badges are distinguishable.

Tinto’s version with the distinctive crown is the most common and I suspect a wartime manufactured badge for three reasons. Firstly, I’ve seen several wartime pics of it in wear, second I have seen an example on an extruded slider and thirdly the number encountered.

The below are also R1DY badges.

As you can see there is no void between the lions foremost hind leg and the crown’s tip on any of the Devon’s OR badges. The horizontal attachment point of the tail to the crown is also diagnostic.

Your badge is not R1DY. As you mention it appears to be a broken RAPC or Royal Dragoons.
