I was offered this Item yesterday,Thought why not have never owned a bayonet before.
I have been trying to understand the stampings so this is what I think its history is.
Made by Sandersons of Sheffield April 1902.
Reissued 1942 ?Don`t really get that that makes any sense.Thoughts most welcome Gary

Its not clear to me from the photos but I think it looks like there is a refurb. date of 1915. The 42 you refer to is probably the inspectors no.
