This badge was worn on White Tropical Ceremonial Dress at top of left sleeve by a Durham Light Infantry Lieutenant who was the UN Platoon Commander of the 8th US Army Honor Guard at Panmunjom Korea in 1965.

The Durham Light Infantry served in Hong Kong from 1963-1966.

The badge is hand emboidered in silver wire on red cloth and is fitted with six press studs. Honour in English spelling!

Hi Tim,

Lovely badge. I have not seen an embroidered example before. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent. Particularly like the "correct" spelling of HONOUR- I wonder if HQ Eighth Army noticed?

I have an image of the LI wearing an "Honor Guard " title in the 80s. It's a black and white image so I cant say what colour it is. The soldier is wearing a No2 dress shirt with lightweights.
