fake para beret on ebay
horrible obvious fake by a well known seller of iffy items, the most obvious thing wrong is the slider pocket for the badge.

I never feel surprised anymore at just how blatant some people can be when it comes to selling their dross on ebay.

This seller and his many other user names sells lots of enhanced items, mostly WWII tommy helmets with fake flashes and dodgy SF items but seems to get plenty of buyers for it. |
50s/60s? same pattern Kangol I was wearing (not an airborne one) in the 80s. With a staybrite badge it would be street legal. Hope no poor fool and his money are separated by this.

Can anyone make out if the headband is of leather or plastic?
I'm not sure but it could be plastic. |
Afternoon Jerry,
My point is simply that it is not what the seller actually suggests it to be, I certainly would not buy anything from the seller and only time that I look at people like him, is when they are highlighted for all the wrong reasons on this forum. Regards Frank Quote:

Ta, I thought it wasn't leather. Did the vinyl come in as early as the 60's? I first came across it on issue (dark blue) berets during the early 70's, followed a couple of years later by cloth.
