RAF Wings
 

These finished earlier at just over £438!! They look like they have been restitched/repaired along the top of the wings, but it was the RAF monogram that interested me. It looks almost like an 'M' embroidered behind.

Is there anything in them I'm missing that warranted the price (albeit they are lovely wings!)?

WW1 RAF 1918 ,rare variant "V" type..my example....still RAF just exaggerated centre .
Condition wasn't the best at all...surprised at that price ....they should look like this .

Ah that would explain it to an extent. By looking at yours it seems the light thread across the top was usual. WW1 period isn't my era which explains why I'm not familiar with them.
