I find Bucks Bn. badges hard- there are a couple of maker marked versions, FN and Woodward which I am more comfortable with. Yours look good strikes-I expect it will be a judgment on the sliders that will give opinion with them. There is a flatter version that I think may be WWII as I had one on a Home Guard related FS Cap.
I would think the Ox and Bucks badge is ok- I have one by Smith and Wright. Regards, Paul.

Paul,

Just catching up, but thanks for looking and your reply.

Hmmm, not sure, but the right Bucks Bn. looks a bit iffy with that slider and lack of detail to the reverse. The left one I am more comfortable with.
I am sure more knowledgeable responses will be forthcoming!

Definitely no expert on these badges, but the slider on he horn badge seems ot be he "Morrison" slider that I asked about on a different badge I was looking at getting. It was my understanding that this type of tapering slider was the sign of a fake.

Again, I am no expert, just going by what I was advised here regarding the slider, and feel someone more knowledgeable should make the call.

The titles are fine. A pair of 1st Ox and Bucks LI,Green Jackets Brigade. So worn from 1958 to 1966. Should be black brass. They have the correct hexagonal lugs. Ceased being used on the formation of the RGJ in 1966.

The badge is an original from the FN die and the style of slider is typical of that maker. A nice marked example is demonstrated here in Tony B’s album:

Morrison sliders in my opinion exhibit a harsher taper akin to the ‘ENGLAND’ marked batch of repros.
