Here is three cap badges that I would like to check out.
I have no clue whether they are good ones or not and wish to have opinion of more knowledgeable collectors. Having said that I would not be surprise they are fakes... |
First looks fake .

What is the Canadian connection?

Which Canadian connection? I did no mention that: should there be a connection? I am just asking whether some of those are good one or fake. Another opinion? |
Although you don't mention anything about the origin of the badges in your original question, It's listed in the Canadian Military Insignia section of the Forum so I anticipate that's why Frank asked his question. Sorry I cannot help with your original question

Hi
The other two look to be 1980s Private purchase. Just my opinion. Cheers Steve |
Now I understand,
silly me I inadvertently put in the wrong section. I apologize for this. Is there any way I could change that? |

Does the fact that, on the second badge, the scroll has got more fold and link with the wing shows a specific maker or age?

Hi
I am no expert , but double checking , I would believe first on is a blatant fake , second is issued post 1950s has stitching throughout centre of blade , early ones have single notch, third I believe is early 80s private purchase , due to backing. Dating these is a minefield....put some of my own here and got zero response. Hopefully others will put their more knowledgeable expertease in . Cheers Steve |
Hi
Thank you again, your help is very much appreciated. A minefield indeed: it is quite discouraging really. I hope I will get hold of a good WWII version. |
