This one is quite thin and not of a high quality, but does have non standard fittings.

The fittings are early and I would not be certain about DH. It could be from several regiments who used the POW plumes.

The style of small scroll was used by officers of the Wiltshire Yeomanry. It may not be a cap badge.

Thank you, all the badges came from across the border in Wales and were purchased as a job lot, although not by me. I bought a single badge from the buyer which I am very pleased with.

.... not sure thats DHY? Has a Gurkha feel to it.... those fittings are more akin to crossbelt .. or something like?

Only the DHY band wore a White metal.... and that was on the collar. The Officers wore a plain small silver on their mess lapels as well. Otherwise they were bi-metal or Bronzed.

Griff,

thank you for sharing your knowledge, it is appreciated.

Simon.

The front of the badge in question appears to have the remains of silver plating or wash to my eyes. Whatever it is, it does not seem to be fake of any sort.

I would speculate that it night be an Edwardian officers side cap badge.
