He was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the 3rd Volunteer Battalion, East Surrey Regiment, on January 25, 1902. He transferred to the 3rd Battalion, King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, on December 6, 1902, being promoted Lieutenant on December 19, 1903. On March 13, 1912, he became a Lieutenant in The Royal Canadian Regiment. He was promoted Captain on June 26, 1915, brevet Major on May 13, 1919 and substantive Major on December 13, 1930. By 1935, he was the DAA&QMG of Military District No. 2 in Toronto. Cheers, Dan. |
