Hi All
I thought this might be of interest. I was looking through some buttons and noticed that this Transvaal Scottish button was made by William Anderson & Sons, Edinburgh. That must be quite unusual.
Cheers,
Alex

Certainly from memory, at least, I think the 4th SAI, the famous "South African Scottish" many of whom had served in the TS, had their buttons made by Lillico, on Maddox St in London, during the Great War.

Thanks Frank. I have a few 4SAI buttons, I must check the maker.
