Interesting Article and brief Video of an ATS Girl

I stumbled upon this and think it is so good I thought I'd share it here. I especially loved hearing her short video. I notice on one of her pictures she seems to be wearing an artillery collar badge on her left breast, but that doesn't seem to fit with her duties. Perhaps at one time a driver attached to an RA unit???

I wonder what Formation badges are being worn.

Yep Marc, I have studied the pictures but just can't make out anything. Did you also notice her her cap badge doesn't look like an ATS badge - or it may just be the angle of the picture?

Marc, I agree that her cap badge does look like the Artillery flaming cannon ball or a Fusilier grenade. But that sure seems strange tome that an ATS girl would be allowed to wear anything but a proper ATS cap badge????

She should also be wearing 1938-45 Star I wonder if she has claimed it? As she has the France and German Star.

The beret is not a standard issue item.
Brave girl.

The qualifying period for the 1939-1945 Star was 180 days in a theatre of war so she must have been shipped back home before qualifying for it.

Was not qualification for the 1939-45 Star a requirement to qualify for the France & Germany Star?
Or have I got that 'round my neck?

The France and Germany Star was awarded for one day or more in a theatre of war.
