Bugle Major but which Regiment?

2 Attachment(s)
Hello,

I picked up this lovely lot to a Bugle Major in a Rifle Battalion or Rifles Regiment.

I thought the cords were Gold and Green which I could use on some of my Regimental Bugles but when they came they were Gold (or Yellow) and Black.

I therefore will sell all of the badges and cords on, but would like to know if someone could ID who wore them first.

regards

Can anyone help with who wore the colours of this rope?

Simon,
If it is line infantry not rifles then this is a gold/yellow and black lanyard apparently worn by WOs and SNCOs of the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment. The colours could also apply to the Hampshire Regiment.

Thanks Tim,

Judging by the items that came with it I would date it at WW2 or before.

Hello Simon.

The bugles are stringed, so my first thoughts were Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry. However, the colours do not match. But the Somerset Light Infantry badge, also stringed, might be a possibility. Their colours included green and gold...but merely a guess.

Sorry, to clarify: the colours included black, green and gold.

Thanks
