Blowlamp Collecting

I don't know how many other blowlamp collectors have shown any of their stuff on here, anyhow, here are some of the smaller lamps that I have. Most of them are meths burners, although some use petrol.

Fascinating!!!

Very different from the blowlamps I expected you would be showing. If I remember from the few I bought in the past the Swedish ones were best to clean up. Regards, Paul.

I expect you mean like these ones.

I've always collected something, the same mantlepiece, seen above, did have a different kind of brass on it, some years ago !

I find what other people collect fascinating. Not my bag but my family think I'm odd (I suppose not even including my badge collecting!)

Attached is a cutting from a post war Soldier magazine.

Very impressive. I congratulate you on your polishing and dusting abilities! :)

I thank you, kind sir, although, I fear, a tad unjustified, most of the brass that has ever entered my domain, gets a good clean and polish, upon arrival, but thereafter, is left to it's own devices. On the dust front, I must confess that I am overcome with shame, occasionally, and do get the duster out, but sadly, most of the time, Tutankhamun's tomb and my place, have very much in common !

I share your shame. Dust is my nemesis-any other cleaning task or taming the garden, fine. Dust always looms at the end of the tasks list. Problem with collecting is although we have our treasured objects, they can also be thought of as dust magnet clutter. Regards, Paul.
