My goodness a "Sapper" wearing a WHITE lanyard! :D

A Sapper with a white lanyard? Outrageous! Perhaps he made it up himself as a means of showing that he served in Iceland? One never knows what people added to their BD when in a photographer's studio!

Such as wearing, a Rank higher than that held, and Aiguillettes on Number 1 Dress, both seem to be a Sapper thing.

Marc :(

I knew of someone who'd not served in NI but wore a CSM NI at his wedding.

Someone who knew I collected militaria once asked if I had a suitable sword to lend for wear by one of their relatives, a REME NCO at their wedding.
