Bridlington Volunteer Force 1914

Here's an interesting little badge that I haven't been able to find much out about at all. I should think its been dug up and is missing its fittings. It is numbered 73 on the reverse.

Not sure what constituted the Bridlington Volunteer Force, possibly a VTC unit?

It's been through the wars, certainly!

Not much known / documented about this unit. Mention of a Bridlington VTC appears in the January 1915 VTC Gazette, when the town granted some money for uniforms, but nothing thereafter. Could be two VTC units in the town, that's not unusual, but could just as easily be some confusion over names, or a change of name to Bridlington VTC to affiliate thenselves to the Central Association...

Here's what it would have looked like:

Best regards, Tim

Nice one Tim. That's a super looking badge and nice to see how it would have looked. Many thanks.
