Hi Guys,

Is the badge below a cap badge or was it attached to another part of the uniform?

The attached is from "Badge Backings......" page 190.

I think the badge was worn on uniform ( on the chest ) and not as a cap badge.

PB is quite right. The WRAC Instructors wore the WRAC cap badge but with the second badge on the chest. This was common across the whole WRAC with the other corps badges being worn on the chest when WRAC personnel were attached personnel.

Thanks Guys,

I'm doing some work on badge fittings at this would explain the pin with integral spring hinge, barrel hinge body and clasp that is found on this badge.

Although not a cap badge I may include it as an aside.

The badge was only worn (on the chest) by WRAC attached to the (then) Guards Depot at Pirbright in Surrey.
