ERITREA POLICE CAP BADGE
 

Opinions on this one please gents! It's 50mm wide and appears a locally made cast brass badge. It has a cracking patina and has unusual brass wire lugs.
Is it a good 'un? or just a well made fake!

It is difficult to say as I do not have one like this in my collection, however having the title in relief is in it's favour as the fakes I have seen look to have the title engraved. I'm not convinced it is a cap badge, it looks more like images I have seen of the collar badges worn in facing pairs which are much more stylised than the cap badges I have (example attached).

*Having actually measured mine, all c.50mm across, I'd agree it is more likely to be a cap badge, so discount my comments re. collar badges.*
