Mail to WWI Troops Found
 
I thought this was interesting, but also very sad as these were never delivered!

I think they were delivered then handed back in when the recipients went to the station to collect their belongings.

The postage stamps on the cards have been "franked" , showing they have been through the mail system. I think they would have been stored (as receipts) to show which items had been collected.
