I've a small Welsh Guards collection, as a Cousin 3rd or something like that something or other removed, (must look it up sometime what the relationship is exactly), served in WW1, so always been interested. Just a quick question if I may, hopefully not highjacking your thread! I visited the WG museum at the Park Hall country side experience a number of years ago,in there, there was a bronze leak cap star on blades, the guy said it was for the OSD cap, I have never seen the cap with a bronze badge, always the wire one as depicted on your cap. Any ideas? Cheers Chris |
Now that is indeed a scarce find, very nice, I should not be remotely bothered about it's condition, a lovely thing.
