So Much for Gifts!!!

Just stumbled upon this, and have no idea if it's real or fantasy, but if I was given that be assured I'd keep it!!!

I received a reply from one of Princess Anne's Ladies in Waiting on official Buckingham Stationary in regard to my writing to Princess Anne. I treasure that letter beyond words, and it's not even from a Royal!

Oh well,

Terry

PS - It's on eBay US

What utter tosh!

Sadly, someone MAY be gullible enough to believe it.

Slightly suspicious in that officers in the Blues & Royals would not wear embroidered shoulder title, white lanyards or crossed rifle marksman badges. The beret should have a bullion embroidered badge on the blue/red/blue backing.

A quick look on the artist web site obyart , shows the picture, him and the prince, beret.

My thoughts to on the beret also, his spare would need to be badged and ready To go. And yes Badged appropriately.

I have an Officer unused beret upstairs and the same backing patch and this has wales written on in marker pen mmmm this would run when worn leaving Wales on his for head I don’t think so!

I would expect a woven name badge sewn in for someone of his position.

Now if he had said just the badge I may have believed it. Well maybe.

Regards

Stephen

Surely, IF it was from Prince William it would either have been an issue beret ir from Gieves & Thieves - and the beret badge would have been sewn on. No point in a spare that you can't wear...

Utter and total rubbish.
Lanyard is an ORs not an Officers.
Officers dont wear the cloth title

Either the seller is very lazy or a crook. It does take much to research what's correct and what isnt.

I think that might be the same seller who was offering a bell tent that had been converted into a pair of underpants for Fatty Arbuckle. :D

Hoot, That was the best post in the thread. A real chuckle! D.J.
