Very odd indeed, never seen one facing the wrong way.
Its plated though, nickel or chrome. Also appears to have once been on loops with the remnants visible. regards |
Looking closely it is possibly made from an NCOs gun right arm badge (hence the stubs of loops E-W) with the upper scroll and crown and the lower scroll from a 'normal' gm badge very carefully brazed on. It is probably nickel plated with a hairpin slider.
Possibly unique rather than UBIQUE - but why was it made? Tim |
