For the WW1 Centenary the RBL brought out a set of postcards (pic 1) depicting various groups from that era. The postcards were made to appear old/faded as if they were the genuine article but with the RBL logo etc on the rear.
Now , someone is offering 1 card for sale on eBay with a starting price of .... ......... £795.00 ! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Manta-Sin...UAAOSwKKZeLK3s |
Breathtakingly unbelievable what some people will do to try to exploit others.

Sorting through BL/RBL badges and considering making up a couple of 'basic' frames. Put together a group of British Legion ones to get an idea how it would look.

RBLR Non-Attendance Rally
"The idea of the Non-Attendance Rally is that we don’t organise a rally in a special location, and you don’t attend. While not attending, you don’t have to pack, or travel anywhere, you don’t have to worry about the weather, or cooking or anything. You simply sit back and don’t attend. While you are doing that, you are contributing to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal." The perfect event for lockdown ! :D Have now got the full set of badges (2008-2020) , they are a bit of fun and all profits go to the RBL. |
