2NZEF - 20th Bn Officer's Cap Badge

Hi and apologies for the "newbie" question!

I'd like to obtain an officer's cap badge from Capt Upham's unit, which I believe was the 20th (Canterbury-Otago?) Battalion.

However, I have no idea what a "real" one looks like or which dealer(s) may have one, so I'm looking for some pointers and/or examples of what to look for please ... and what to avoid!

Thanks in anticipation.

he would have worn a NZ General Service 'Onward' badge

Hi Jon,
Here's a picture of Captain Upham VC and bar.
Looks like his cap badge is the usual gilding metal issue, not bronze.
Cheers, Tinto

Thanks Tinto - Good tip, because I'd have assumed it would be bronze for an officer. Perhaps he kept his pre-commission badge?

Hi Jon,
Many NZ officers wore the gilding metal badge. Bronze badges are rare.
