Hi there,

Anyone knowing please a good source to be able to associate/date when a royal navy sailor id # has been attributed? And also to decypher other information from the markings on a ww2 RN dog tag?

To ring fence a bit my query, the time period I am interested in is ww2. Trying this way, to be able to have a guess-estimate of a sailor’s items tagged with his id #.
