Irish Guards Cap Stars - Sgts./Colour Sgts

I am looking for a little help on a cap star I have to the Irish Guards.

The photo below shows two bi-metal cap stars to the Irish Guards. The one on the right is, I believe an example of "The Centenary Star" introduced in 2000 for Sgts. and Colour Sgts to celebrate the anniversary of the regiment. I am relatively certain that this is a good example - but would appreciate either any confirmation or comments from others.

The badge on the left is the one I know least about. Can anyone provide any information on it? I think that this badge was introduced in 1995 for Sgts. and Colour Sgts. (I have also seen some reference to it as a bandsman's badge - but I have my doubts that it was worn by the band). This particular example came from a well known dealer in Filey.

As a note of caution on Irish Guards bi-metal badges, a well known seller (cab driver) of re-strikes on e-bay has begun to list examples.

many thanks in advance for any help

John
