WW2 Pegasus Patches
Is there any significance to some 1st, 6th Airborne Divisions woven/embroidered felt patches and printed ones - rarity, value, time period?
I've recently bought a printed one which looks nearer for a display collection I'm putting together but wondered whether the woven one is earlier/more valuable. |

I don't believe there is that much difference between printed and embroidered versions of the Pegasus badge especially when you're just looking for an example to display. Be aware there is a plethora (always wanted to use this word in a sentence) of privately made embroidered examples that are collectable but I don't believe they're much more expensive than the printed versions.
The only example that is highly collectable, and more expensive, is the Italian made version, photo attached. Paul |
I was completely unaware of that example - cheers!
It goes without saying that that one would be ideal as I'm displaying the badges which appear on the 8th Army Thanksgiving pamphlet. |

The woven cherry type is also more difficult to find than the issue printed ones or glue backs.
