I have these three single metal Devonshire Regiment badges and would welcome your opinions on what they are and their authenticity.

The first appears to be a lugged example worn by Territorial battalions.

The second is possibly an O.S.D. collar badge. It is of a poor standard of finishing and may be a fake. It has traces from a cracked die at the top left, a damaged rim to the circlet and damage to the main body.

The third may be a 1916 all G.M. badge but may also be a fake. There are signs that it came from a worn die and I am not happy with the slider. The finish is a bit odd and I suspect that it might be a fake.

3rd badge is a homemade replacement slider at best

Two of those look to be somewhat cruddy OSD collar badges. As with ORs, some makers did turn out OSD badges that were not of the best quality in wartime.

1, Could be TF or OTC Cap
2, OSD Collar
3, I'm not a fan of the low flat "rose" device at the bottom of the circle, there are lots of fakes around with that style.

IMHO Rob
