WW2 Green beret....NOT!!
Hi Guy's,
Heads up on this green beret. Don't do it!! So many red flags. Don't bid on this one. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232770243823?ul_noapp=true Regards Irv |
Irv, Wouldn't you agree that the educational quality of this Forum might be greatly enhanced by at least mentioning some of your red flags?

There is a thread which explains it all better than I could.
http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...ad.php?t=43674 This was just a 'Heads up' post. But if you want a couple of red flags:- Badge is fake/restrike, stitching on the inside is wrong for WW2 and that is just from the pictures he has posted. Read the link to the thread if you are interested. |
Also the sweatband is not genuine leather.

Sold £145.

One of the many pitfalls of eBay as we know it today is that bidders are hidden from each other, and we are now unable to offer advice to bidders. I don’t recall when the change came about, and only had one minor negative experience where another bidder on an item I was interested in messaged me to say ‘it’s mine’, which only served to encourage me as a buyer.
I don’t believe many buyers search the eBay community forums for advice on items, and I’ve never found on-going discussions around live auctions. Wouldn’t it be good for bidders, and spectators to offer their penny’s worth on a live chat box one each and every auction? Sean |
The person who won the auction has (0) feedback. They have started on the long road of 'Gaining knowledge'!
It is a shame that you can't email bidders to warn them. An expensive first lesson. The good news is it wasn't one of us (I hope). Regards Irv |
