As one person replied to you in an earlier post, send them all off to Bosleys, (but list and photograph them first). Conversely, list them, send list to bosleys and see if they decline some of them. Those they decline, put onto that well known auction site after you have checked what the mail costs would be for “Tracked & Signed for” UK, Europe, North America, etc. Good Luck! D.J.

my experience with bosleys is if they actually reply to you, then they will pick the guts out of the collection rejecting the common items and they wont get listed for up t 6-12mths.

Please don't take this the wrong way but it is a very niche area of collecting you are after: to value those badges for you to then sell elsewhere, requires quite a bit of work. It's not in the spirit of the Forum.

You can do your own homework of what Bosleys sell these badges for by going through their results pages:

https://www.bosleys.co.uk/en-GB/results/page_303

For example the last Ceylon Artillery brass cap badge sold for £25. If you are selling to a dealer or online auction you should expect less than Bosleys prices.

Hello That's okay I don't kmnow much about badges I collect medals I have over 400 sets but you see I could tell some one straight away the value of any set of medals to any individual and I just presumed it would be the same with badges. So I apologise for being out of the spirit of the site .As I have about 1200 badges to sort I thought it would save me posting them duff ones ..on the bright side its a learning curve....

I have posted a NWFP badge to give you chaps a good question..its one of mine and a nice Vickers Armstrong patch
