Hi
I was wondering if anyone here could help identify the gunnery badge on my late fathers right sleeve (star above crossed guns no letters) and the stripe on the left sleeve in the attached picture Picture taken in 1943 Any help gratefully received, thanks |

on other arm is a Leading rate bade (anchor) and a 4 year Good Conduct stripe

Interesting. I didn't think cap tallies in WW2 had the name of the ship on them, only 'HMS'. Also, shouldn't it be tied at the back?
I'm not a Navy collector, so I stand to be educated on this one. David |

The issue of tallies during WW2 is a complex subject. Please see the link below. http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...7&postcount=14 |
