Phillipine Army patches??

1 Attachment(s)
I have just acquired the two patches shown, which I was told were both Phillipine Army. I have found out that the Scout Rangers one may be the 1st Scout Ranger Regiment. Can anyone confirm??
I have no idea on the other with the number 3 on it, but hopefully someone may know it. Any suggestions gratefully welcome.

What do the backs look like? That can be helpful.

Hi,

Yes both Philippine. The first is 1970's and the Scout Rangers mid 70's. They are poorly embroidered compared to European standards, although they are getting better.

Scout Rangers are indeed a special operations type unit much akin to the Special Forces Support Group in the UK,although for a time they were the only specialised group for fighting guerrillas in the islands. This patch has a poorly defined "panther" and there are others that are better by far.

I'm sorry I don't know what the other is, not a Divisional badge, brigade or battalion possibly a company or a retired one that was supplanted.

Hope that helps

Clay

Thank you for your comments, gents. Here are the backs of the patches if they will possibly help. Does anyone know of any sites showing Phillipine Army patches?
