'Citizen Defence Services'?? ARP?

I purchased an unusual celluloid pin-back badge, 'Citizen Defence Services'. There is no reference to it online.

I wondered if it is WW1, early/pre-war ARP or maybe foreign/Commonwealth ARP?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

The British Newspaper archive has reports of a CDS in Northern Ireland during the 1950s. Seems to have been an umbrella organisation to recruit people for Civil Defence, TA, Home Guard, Auxiliary Fire Service, etc. It looks as if each town had a local committee. Don't know if it relates to your badge.
