Falklands War South Atlantic Medal Ribbon & Rosette
Hi all,
I am new to this forum. I have been collecting for years and have loads of badges and patches that I am getting the chance to go through due to covid. I have come across a South Atlantic Medal Ribbon with Rosette. It is genuine and not a copy, unfortunately no medal and no history apart from fact it came with some parachute regiment items. Would the ribbon bar with rosette have any value? Many thanks for your help Dan |

Hi Dan, all medals have a value, for the collectors it is the 'man behind the medal'. You would gain further information by looking at past sales of some of the larger auction houses, Spinks, DNW, Morton & Eden, etc etc (i have no association with any of these companies). If your medal is awarded to 'PARA' then I'm pretty sure there would be some interest due to the battles they fought. There is a British Medal Forum where you can ask such questions however they are reticent to provide values, highly likely that you could find a buyer. Just out of curiosity i would be interested to know who the recipient was. Kind Regards - Mark
Apologies, just re-read the post, the ribbon and rosette will have a value but the attributation will not affect that. Rgds |
Thanks Mark
