Handsome gilt and WM musicians badge but why POW and not the lyre?

These type of QVC and KC Gilt Band Stars were commercially produced for civilian bands and were available with various different centres, including various musical instruments, and the POW feathers.

Basically they were tailored to the bands requirements.
